PLA will host a Trick-or-Treat event on Thursday, October 29, from 3:30–4:00 PM.
Everyone will gather in front of the school and walk around together to collect candy.
Students are welcome to wear costumes on this day, but wearing a costume is completely optional.
For DPS safety guidelines, please remember:
No masks
No face paint
No toy weapons
No scary costumes
Thank you for helping us make this a fun, safe, and enjoyable event for everyone!

The health office is working in collaboration with Eye Love Care to offer vision exams and eyeglasses to our students. If you would like your student to participate, please complete the authorization form that will be sent home. A flyer with a QR code is attached if you prefer to register your child online.

We have noticed an increase in students arriving late to school and want to remind everyone of the importance of arriving on time. Learning begins the moment students walk through our doors!
When students arrive late, they miss valuable learning opportunities, including play planning, socialization with peers, breakfast, calendar, opening group, and whole group instruction. These activities are intentionally planned to support students' academic, social, and emotional development.
Arriving on time also helps students build consistent routines and start their day feeling confident and ready to learn.
Every minute matters in preschool! Thank you for your partnership in helping your child arrive on time and ready for a successful day!

Thank you for choosing Denver Public Schools to provide educational services to your child. We are proud to be able to serve you and your children and we will continually strive to provide a safe learning environment for them.
The safety of all children, school staff and support personnel are very important to us. In order to maintain a safe environment for our children to study and learn, it is necessary that we practice our emergency and crisis response plans by having drills designed to exercise our procedures. We will be conducting various drills throughout the school year.
This letter is to inform you that our school conducted a Lockdown Drill today at 11am. We took this step as a proactive measure to ensure our preparedness in the event of an emergency, much like our regular fire drills.
Please know that the school will conduct one “Lockdown Drill” each semester of the school year. This type of drill will secure the school building and safely shelter all students, staff and visitors inside the building. The purpose of this drill is to keep the students safe from any danger outside or inside the building. During a “Lockdown Drill”, all perimeter doors to the school building will be secured, and will remain secured until the danger has passed. No one will be allowed to enter or leave the building until the authorities release the lockdown.
These safety drills are done to help maintain our schools as a safe place to learn and work. If you have any questions regarding any of these drills, or other safety concerns, please contact your school office.

Dear Pascual-Ledoux Academy Families,
Welcome to a brand-new school year! It is with great excitement, gratitude, and joy that I introduce myself as your Interim Principal for the 2026–2027 school year. My name is Amy Green, and I am honored to join the Pascual-Ledoux Academy family.
For the past 31 years, I have proudly served Denver Public Schools as a teacher, central office leader, assistant principal, and principal in both elementary and secondary schools. This is my fourth opportunity to serve as an interim principal, and each experience has reminded me that the heart of every great school is the people who fill it with hope, kindness, and a shared commitment to children. I am excited to build upon the incredible foundation already established at Pascual-Ledoux Academy and to partner with you as we help every child learn, grow, and shine.
At Pascual-Ledoux Academy, we believe that every child deserves to feel safe, known, valued, and inspired from the moment they walk through our doors. For many of our youngest learners, this school year will be filled with exciting "firsts"—first classrooms, first friendships, first books, first discoveries, and first big accomplishments. We are committed to creating a joyful environment where curiosity is celebrated, confidence is nurtured, and every child believes they can achieve great things.
We know that a child's greatest success happens when school and families work together. Your partnership, encouragement, and involvement make an incredible difference. Together, we will help our students develop not only strong academic skills but also the confidence, resilience, kindness, and character they need to become lifelong learners.
I invite you to join me for a Parent Meet & Greet on Monday, August 24, 2026, from 3:00-4:00 p.m. outside the school. Please stop by to say hello, meet members of our school community, and enjoy a popsicle with us as we celebrate the beginning of a wonderful year.
