EdFest Recap
EdFest was a huge success, raising over $91,000 for Edison! Thank you to everyone who donated, bid, and attended — and a big shoutout to our amazing committee for all their hard work.

Order School Supplies for 2025-26 now!
Did you know that you can order school supplies from the PTA now and be all prepared for the 2025-26 school year? If you order through PTA online:
* the teacher gets the exact supplies they want,
* the teachers have time to organize the supplies before the students arrive,
* there are fewer issues in the classroom since the students will have all the same supplies,
* and you don't have to do ANYTHING past clicking a few buttons!
The supplies will be shipped directly to Edison the week before school starts and volunteers will deliver your students' supply pack directly to their teacher. Edison makes a small donation per pack, which is not a lot, but it helps contribute to the PTA Fund. And yes, the supply list has been double-checked!
This is for the grade your student will be in NEXT year!

Three program types for 25–26:

* Access Plus – sliding scale tuition based on each school’s Free/Reduced Lunch %
* Grant-Funded Sites – free for families
Have these documents ready (especially for ECE students):

* Health appraisal (ECE required)
* CCCAP authorization (if applicable)
* Any info about allergies, medications, IEP/504 needs

2025-26 Registration
Online Registration for the 2025-2026 school year will take place in July/August (Date TBD). Early Bird registration will be open from families from May 5th to May 23rd. You must have a Parent Portal account to register online.
* If you need to open a Parent Portal account so you can do online registration, as well as have access to other important information about your student, go to myportal.dpsk12.org and click on 'Create an Account'. You will need your student’s DPS ID# to start your account. You can call Edison's office at 720-424-7780 or email Michelle Miller in the office at michelle_miller@dpsk12.org, or Barbara Schrant at maria_schrant@dpsk12.org, to get your student’s ID#.
* If you forgot your Parent Portal password click on the forgot password link.
* If you have any other trouble logging in (you must log in at least once every six months to keep your account active), you can ask for help by emailing portalteam@dpsk12.org or calling the portal hotline at 720.423.3163. Only caregivers in the primary household can do registration.
If you do not have computer access you will need to come to Edison to complete your student’s annual registration. We’ll have registration at Edison on August 6 from 9:00-3:00. If your address has changed please bring a new proof of address (current Xcel or water bill or lease or mortgage statement)or upload the proof with your online registration, and if your child has had additional immunizations please bring an updated record or upload with online registration. Otherwise all you’ll need are names and phone numbers for anyone you want to be on your child’s emergency/pick up list.
Talent Show
Thank you to everyone who auditioned for the Edison Talent Show! We were so impressed by the creativity and courage of our students. There will be two school-day performances on Friday, May 30 - The morning show will be at 9:15 AM and the afternoon show: 1:15 PM.
Due to the large number of auditions, students have been assigned to perform in one or both shows to help create a balanced lineup. We are also offering an optional community performance at 3:45 PM on the 30th for families and friends who wish to attend. All performers are welcome to participate!
Enrichment Day
All Edison students will participate in Enrichment Day in late May. This is a super fun day of experiential learning for students. Teachers have planned fun, engaging full-day learning opportunities like: Pizza making, Hammond Candy Factory Tour, Dinosaur Ridge, Mile High Stadium Tour and more. Students get to choose their learning experience for the day. Edison’s PTA fully funds Enrichment Day for all Edison students!

Continuations
Edison will celebrate the continuation of our ECE students, kindergarten students and 5th grade students the last week of school. These are fun and important milestones for our children. Please join us in celebrating our students’ successes as they continue forward in their educational careers.
ECE continuation is scheduled for June 2 at 9:30 AM outside in Edison’s amphitheater;
Kindergarten continuation is scheduled for June 2 at 1:30 PM outside in Edison’s amphitheater;
5th grade continuation will be at Skinner MS (3435 W 40th Ave) on June 2 at 6:00 PM.

* Way to Go Schoolpool Registration - Join Edison’s Schoolpool program to connect with other families to carpool, walk or bike to school together. Looking for help getting your student to and from school or want to find them a buddy to commute to school with? We are pleased to partner with Schoolpool, a free program to make it easier to get to school. Signing up is simple! 1. Go to https://mywaytogo.org/#/ and create an account and enter your address or intersection. 2. Add comments to indicate interest. 3. Find and contact interested families. Privacy and security: Edison and Schoolpool do not run background checks, confirm valid driver’s licenses, or assess insurance coverage on participants. Potential users are advised to screen participants to their personal satisfaction and check their own insurance coverage for carpooling to ensure that they are covered under these voluntary arrangements. Schoolpool does not provide drivers, vehicles, or insurance.
