2017/2018- From the Principal

Dear Pascual LeDoux Academy Community,  Principal

I am honored and delighted to be the principal of Pascual Le Doux Academy.  I am looking forward to our fifth year of operation and I am particularly looking forward to meeting the new community of Pascual LeDoux Academy (PLA).

I have a Bachelor’s degree in English Language Teaching and a Master’s degree in Bilingual and Multicultural Education with emphasis in Early Literacy from Colorado University at Boulder. I have 17 years of combined teaching experience. I have worked as a teacher, math and science instructional coach, program coordinator, and assistant principal. Prior to coming to Denver in 1999, I taught English as a Second Language to preschool and elementary students in my native country of Paraguay.

I have a profound personal commitment to the values of public education and a strong conviction that early childhood education is key to a successful educational experience. I believe that all students can learn and it is our responsibility as teachers and parents to help children reach their full potential.

I have a twelve year-old daughter and a nine year-old son who keep my husband and me very busy. As a family, we like to play soccer, go on hikes and enjoy the wonderful outdoors.

I look forward to getting to know each of you this upcoming year. I feel privileged to be the principal at PLA! Please don’t hesitate to contact me at

Best regards,

Leticia Jara-Leake
